The Catholic Committees on Girl & Boy Scouting oversee the Religious Emblem Programs and related Catholic spiritual activities for Catholic girls and young women in in Girl Scout troops, and Catholic boys and young men in Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout troops, and Venture crews, in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The programs are provided by the National Catholic Committee on Girl Scouts and Camp Fire, and National Catholic Committee on Scouting. In a particular way, the committees liaisons with those units hosted by Catholic parishes, schools, and organizations within the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
The Religious Emblem Program for Girls includes the following awards:
God Is Love
Family of God
I Live My Faith
Mary The First Disciple
The Spirit Alive
Adult leaders may receive the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Award and the St. Ann Award for service to scouting.
In addition to the religious emblem program, the committee sponsors an annual Catholic Girl Scout Retreat for Juniors and Cadettes, a Day of Reflection for Brownies, and an annual pilgrimage to a local Catholic church or shrine.
The Religious Emblem Program for Boys includes the following awards:

Light of Christ
Parvuli Dei
Ad Altare Dei
Pope Pius XII
Pillars of Faith
Units may earn the Pope Paul VI Award, and adult leaders may receive the Cathedral Award and the St. George Award for service to scouting.
In addition to the religious emblem program, the committee sponsors an annual Catholic Boy Scout Retreat, a Good Friday pilgrimage hike, and a Cub Scout Day of Reflection.
An annual Catholic Scouting Awards Ceremonyis presented jointly between the Youth & Young Adult Ministry Office and the Catholic Committees on Girl & Boy Scouting. Information on awards is available through the Committee Chairs.
